just got a phone call. they wanted to make sure i received my bill. what bill? the one from the hawaii medical ER. dang-it, i had forgotten about that.
as you can already tell, my trip to hawaii didn't turn out quite as planned, but it wasn't all bad. i did spend quite a bit more time in bed than i was planning on, but what a better way to get over bronchitis?! i didn't have one thing to cancel or be to, no homework to do, or lessons to teach. i just got to relax in a really nice condo all by myself for six days, without one thing to worry about. doesn't that sound refreshing? it really was. when i wasn't lounging around in bed i did get to do some cool stuff.
my top 3 were...
1) the point that 'dreamboat' (ashley's hawaiian crush) took us to where we could jump into the ocean. he said it is the only point on the island where there is more than a 180 degree view of the ocean.
2) jumping off waimea rock at sunset and seeing ashley finally do a backflip!!
3) getting to meet ashley's ridiculously awesome family. they were so hospitable and nice, i hope i can be at least half as welcoming to my relatives and their 6 bum-ish friends.
needless to say the trip wasn't a total failure, and it was really fun to be there with all my friends. the crew included lindzi, aaron, ashley, terese, JT, and tyler parris neal (yes that's one person). i only took about 10 pictures during the whole trip, so if you want some good photo documentation check-out lindzi's blog. but here is my favorite picture i took with my phone. for your enjoyment...and my embarrassment

Sorry about the ER bill. I still feel like that's somehow my fault. :( But I'm sure the staff still laughs about the crazy pregnant lady that was yelling at everyone and made the receptionist well up with tears... ;)
